Berte Fox Monkey is a species in Madagascar and lives in the dry deciduous forest area of Kirindy and Ambadira in western Madagascar, and occasionally lives in secondary forests (from sea level to 150 meters). They eat fruits and gums, and severely depend on sugar -containing insect secretions and animal substances in the harsh drought season. They can find food independently, and male activities are far greater than females, and they are more likely to be affected by seasonal fluctuations. At present, the number of Berte fox monkeys has continued to decrease, and the Red List of Endangered Species of the World Nature Protection Alliance (IUCN) is listed as extremely critical species.

Although the MenaBe-Antimena Reserve was established in the Berte Fox Monkey Habitat, by 2020, the threat to this species has not been controlled. The main threat to the species is due to Hatsake agricultural (Hatsake), the loss and degeneration of habitats caused by illegal logging for the production of charcoal, and illegal logging. If the forest is cut off, the remaining habitats and Bet fox monkeys may disappear by 2030.
Including China's biological diversity protection and Green Development Foundation (referred to as the "China Green Fair" and "Green Club"), and some non -governmental organizations and institutions, including the return of the field, are actively participating in the development and protection of the region. As a flagship species, the Berte Fox Monkey can attract more attention and provide front -line vitality for Madagascar's crisis.
