In July 1983, the Eli Prevention Station in Yili organized a natural epidemic sources investigation team to be stationed in the Valley of Gilimalael, Nilek County, and Li Weidong participated in the survey as an epidemic prevention staff.

One day, Li Weidong was inspecting the cliffs. Suddenly, a small animal revealed a gray little head from the gap in the rock, and instantly shrunk back.

Out of professional sensitivity, he stayed patiently and waited in place. It didn't take long for the small animals to run out of the rocks carefully, a bit like a gray rabbit, a bit like a mouse, about 20 cm in length, the ears were slightly longer than the mouse, and than the mouse than the mouse, which was slightly longer than the mouse than the mouse.
