After a year of monitoring and research and big database comparison, this species is Guangxi Huotong, which is not yet recorded in Yunnan. It is mainly distributed in the Karst landforms in Gulinyu Township, Maguan County and Nanxi Town, Hekou County. The number of populations is small (about 30 mature individuals).

According to the data, Guangxi Huotong is distributed in Jingxi County, Guangxi, with only 3 plants. It is a unique species of Guangxi. In 2021, the latest national key protection wild plant list lists Guangxi Huotong as a first -class protective plant, which shows that the species is endangered.
