Professor Sun Hongbin, our school, was awarded the 2022 Annual Engineer Award of the Asia -Pacific Engineering Organization Federation

On July 29, 2022, the 30th General Assembly of the Asia -Pacific Engineering Organization Federation (Feiap) was held in Cevania, Philippines, and announced the results of the 2022 annual engineer (Engineer of the year 2022). Recommended by the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, Professor Sun Hongbin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Taiyuan University of Technology (presided over administrative work), was awarded the ENGINEER of the Year 2022 of the 2022 Annual Engineer Award. This was the second time in the engineering community in my country since the Chinese Association of Science and Technology became FEIAP in 1987.

Professor Sun Hongbin has been engaged in scientific research and teaching in the field of smart grids and energy Internet engineering technology for a long time. In the past 25 years, he led the team to create a complex power grid owner from dividing theory and self -discipline collaborative voltage control technology system to develop the world's first complex power grid automatic voltage control system (AVC). In my country, large -scale engineering applications have been achieved, closed -loop control has been achieved. 81%of the nation's water /rmal plant, 87%high -voltage substation, and 48.4%of the centralized merger/optical power generation. The fluctuations decreased by 70%, ensuring the voltage safety of large -scale new energy access and high -voltage engineering major projects, making the operation of the world's largest and most complicated power grid in the world. To the largest power grid PJM in the United States, it became the first case for my country's advanced power grid control system to export the United States. In the SCOPUS database of Eshael, the literature published by Professor Sun Hongbin in the direction of AVC has been cited and ranked first in the world. In the past ten years, Professor Sun Hongbin led the team to create the theory of energy roads, developed the first domestic and foreign comprehensive energy management system, presided over the completion of the world's first large -scale urban energy Internet demonstration project, and presided over the publishing of the monograph "Energy Internet" The IEEE Energy Internet and Energy System Integration Conference was founded, and the IEEE PES Energy Internet Coordination Committee was founded and served as the first chairman to make outstanding contributions to the development of the energy Internet technology field. This award has further enhanced the international influence of my country's engineering community.

Asia Pacific Engineering Organization Federation

The Federation of Engineering Institutions of Asia and the Pacific (FEIAP) is an important regional international organization established in 1978 with international organizations such as UNESCO, formerly known as Southeast Asia And the Federal Federation of Pacific Engineering (Feiseap), officially renamed the Asia -Pacific Engineering Organization Federation (Feiap) in June 2008. The organization aims to promote scientific and technological cooperation and information exchanges between members' organizations; promotes mutual recognition of membership qualifications of engineers in different countries in the region; encourage and strengthen the vitality of member organization engineering; support engineering related meetings; learn relevant engineering vocational continuing education and engineer qualifications Certification related content; strengthen exchanges and cooperation between international, regional, government and non -governmental organizations. The Asia -Pacific Engineering Organization Federation (FEIP) set up an annual engineer of the year, the purpose is to encourage engineers to make greater contributions to the engineering field of the Asia -Pacific region.
