The roar monkey belongs to the genus of the spider monkey family of the spiritual long eyes. It mainly lives in the tropical rain forest in the Americas. The body is thick and the adult monkey is more than 7 kg. It is the largest American monkey.

One of the characteristics of the roar monkey is the length of the tail and has the function of curling, so it was once included in the tail monkey family, and it is also called a suspension monkey. The tail of the adult roar is between 70-90 cm and is generally long. There are two main functions of the monkey tail: one is to hang themselves, eat leaves, fruits, or flowers directly with their mouths; the other is to hook food in front of them and put them in their mouths. The tail has the work of the forelimb, and the forelimb can be used to climb or hang the branches.

As a premier monkey in his head, the roar monkey became a master of jumping between the woods because of strong forelimbs. The main reason for unwillingness to move is related to the way of survival and eating characteristics of roar monkeys. The roar monkey is a typical planting animal. He likes to eat leaves, fruits and flowers. There is no powerful attack power and defense ability, so you can only try to protect yourself through the way of life on the tree.

In addition, it has two outstanding eating characteristics: one is that eating is very slow, it can be said to be chewing slowly. For them, there seems to be nothing more important than roar and eating; the other is that the amount of food is very large The weight you eat daily can reach half of your own weight. The roar monkey eats slowly and eats a lot, and is directly related to the geographical environment. Although tropical rain forests grow up evergreen trees, and the amount of leaves is very sufficient, they do not like the leaves that account for most proportion of green foods of tropical rain forests. Because these leaves have low nutritional content and high cellulose content, there is no enzyme in the roar monkey's belly.

In other words, most of the leaves of the tropical rain forest cannot digest after eating. Even the young leaves rich in protein, but because of the low sugar content, the roar monkey is only selectively eating.
