Huawei's official open source, which has devoted him more than 10 years in 2019, once caused heated discussion. After two years of development, OpenUler's total installed capacity exceeded 1.7 million. Based on the share of the new market of the Euler commercial version of the operating system, it reached 19%as of June this year. Second, the vast majority of open source foundations and open source projects are located in the United States. The open source community in my country has developed late and has insufficient grasp of core technologies. Ni Guangnan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said that the open source community in my country has the characteristics of "three more, three less", that is, "more use, less investment", "more contribution, less dominance", "more research, and less transformation."

Third, behind CentOS's stop service is a change in the business model of foreign manufacturers. Especially after the United States has recently introduced a new rule for "no security vulnerabilities to China", domestic enterprises have questioned the use of foreign systems. How to steadily promote the independent innovation and marketing of domestic operating systems has become the focus of attention from domestic system operating system companies.

Fourth, emerging technologies such as big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and other emerging technologies have continuously developed, bringing a huge amount of data and rich data types. It puts forward higher requirements for server operating systems, which has spawned the changes in the server operating system market.

OpenUler's business is progressing amazing, and the results are fruits

In the author's opinion, these four consistency are the four pillars of the development of the Eura Kaishang community. They complement each other. While the community meets the technical trends and open source laws, it also has industrial needs and industrial co -construction. At the same time, from the beginning, from the beginning It has formulated a clear business strategy so that the Euler community can sustainable.

The author observe: The Euler community moves forward and drives to the world's "stars and sea"

For decades, we have the results of OpenUler's today. If OpenUler is a dark horse with deep contributions and names, what kind of scene is the whole rivers and lakes? Global server operating systems are mainly divided into four major genres: Linux, Windows Server, Unix and Network.

Among them, Linux is an open source operating system, which is transparent and open, and occupies a mainstream position in the server field. According to statistics from IDC in 2018, the global server operating system market share (paid+free), 68%of the server uses the Linux system. According to Gartner's statistics in 2020, in the global server operating system market revenue share (paid), Linux accounts for 35.5%.

The Linux system version is divided into community versions and commercial versions. The number of community versions is large. Windows Server is a closed source operating system, and the code is not open. It is developed by Microsoft's internal R & D team. After years of ecological construction, the market share is high; the UNIX operating system has high security, but because it is a commercial version, it is necessary to charge; Netware was launched by Novell and centered on file server.
