Space Raw Rizhao, fans born today, happy birthday!
At first glance, the image taken by this Hubble Space Telescope depicts the dwarf galaxy AGC 111977 shiny star, which is about 15 million light years from the earth, which can be seen at the bottom left of the image.
Let's observe again. In the lower right corner of the image, there are two faintly visible slender stripes. In the prospects of the stars and galaxies observed by Hubble, they are small rocky celestial bodies in our solar system. The distance between these two asteroids is different from our earth, and they do not actually collide like the intersecting stripes implied.
Hubble asteroid hunter was launched one year ago. It is a cooperation project between the European Air Bureau and the Citizen Science Program. It invites the public to identify the asteroids that Hubble Space Telescope accidentally discovered. Since then, 9,000 volunteers from all over the world have provided 2 million classified 140,000 Hubble images and discovered 1500 asteroid trajectories.
