According to customs statistics, in the first half of 2022, the total value of imports and exports in Hubei Province was 290.91 billion yuan, which was the best level in history at the same time, an increase of 18.4%year -on -year. Among them, exports were 193.66 billion yuan, an increase of 27.9%; imports were 97.25 billion yuan, an increase of 3.2%.

According to Yang Liangyong, deputy customs chief of Wuhan Customs and member of the Party Committee, based on the high base of double -digit growth last year, the import and export of Hubei Province in the first half of this year has achieved rapid growth. In the 9th quarter, it has achieved positive growth year -on -year, and its scale is the best level at the same time. During the same period, the overall growth rate and export growth rate of imports and exports in Hubei Province were higher than the national average of 9 and 14.6 percentage points, respectively, ranking 9th and 12th nationwide, respectively.

The import and export of foreign trade with major trading partners in Hubei Province has developed steadily. The imports and exports of Hubei and the top four trading partners in ASEAN, the European Union, the United States, and Taiwan increased by 28.4%, 6%, 0.3%, and 27.7%, respectively. During the same period, imports and exports to Hong Kong, Latin America, and Africa increased by 11.8%, 41.8%, and 58%respectively. In addition, the total imports and exports of RCEP's other 14 member states were 86.68 billion yuan, an increase of 16.3%; the total import and export of the countries along the “Belt and Road” was 79.84 billion yuan, an increase of 26.8%, and the growth rate was 8.4 percentage points higher than the overall.

It is worth noting that 14 cities and states in the province have increased growth and export. According to reports, Wuhan's foreign trade imports and exports were 174.87 billion yuan, an increase of 13.6%, accounting for 60.1%of the total import and export value of the province during the same period, and continued to maintain a leading position among cities and states throughout the province. From the perspective of import and export values, 4 of the 17 cities and prefectures exceed the 10 billion yuan mark. Among them, in addition to Wuhan, Huangshi import and export values ​​exceeded the 20 billion yuan mark, and the import and export values ​​of Yichang and Xiangyang all crossed the 10 billion yuan mark. From the perspective of import and export growth, the growth rates of Ezhou, Qianjiang, Jingmen, and Shiyan were growing rapidly, with an increase of 93.8%, 92.5%, 65.5%, and 49.4%, respectively.
