From January to May Sichuan's foreign trade import and export increased by 16.4%, the structure

On June 14, the reporter learned from Chengdu Customs that in the first five months of this year, the total value of Sichuan cargo trade imports and exports was 396.23 billion yuan, ranking 8th in the country, an increase of 16.4%over the same period last year, and the growth rate ranked 13th in the country. Among them, exports were 237.75 billion yuan, an increase of 22.9%; imports were 158.48 billion yuan, an increase of 7.8%. During the same period, imports and exports across the country increased by 8.3%; of which, exports increased 11.4%and imports increased by 4.7%.

In the first five months of this year, under the circumstances where the external environment became more and complicated, Sichuan's foreign trade was steadily advanced, and the trade structure was optimized, showing the following three highlights:

First, the proportion of general trade has increased, and the trade structure is optimized. In the first five months, Sichuan increased rapidly by 62.5%in imports and exports in general trade. The proportion of the total foreign trade value increased by 9.2 percentage points compared with the same period last year, reaching 32.3%, and the vitality in foreign trade further increased.

The second is that the main body of foreign trade is sufficient, and private enterprises perform strong. Since the beginning of this year, our province has introduced a series of practical recruitments of tax cuts and fees, and relieving difficulties, which has strongly stimulated corporate vitality. In the first five months, Sichuan had 5,525 actually participated in the import and export of foreign trade, an increase of 628 compared with the same period last year. The import and export growth rate of private enterprises reached 54.2%, an increase of 7.9 percentage points, and the contribution rate to Sichuan foreign trade was as high as 80.2%, which is an important force to promote the growth of Sichuan foreign trade.

Third, domestic and international dual -cycle promotes the import of consumer goods and resource -based products to maintain a rapid growth momentum. Sichuan's economic development and epidemic prevention and control remained stable. In the first five months, Sichuan's imported consumer goods were 4.69 billion yuan, an increase of 96.4%; imported metal ore sand was 5.82 billion yuan, an increase of 2.5 times; imports of 1.55 billion yuan, an increase of 58%.
