The project applied for ecological protection and restoration for the Dongting Lake area was 2022 to 2024. The project focuses on the four main goals: the protection and habitat renovation of the important species of Dongting Lake to improve the biodiversity, the treatment of facial source pollution and the improvement of the quality of farmland to improve the comprehensive service function of the farmland, the mining repair and the forest quality improvement of the water conservation and soil maintenance Function, the construction of the water system connecting and the construction of the ecological network unblocked the main water system ecological corridor and the network, and gradually consolidate the ecological security pattern of "lake body-farmland-forest" as the skeleton.
