On June 27, the nation's strictest water resource management system assessment work group announced the results of the most stringent water resource management system assessment in 2021, including 10 provinces (municipalities), including Zhejiang, and ranked second in the country in Zhejiang.

It is reported that the nuclear working group has comprehensively evaluated the completion of the goals, system construction and measures of 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) to form an assessment result, and announced to the society after approval by the State Council. 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in 2021 were all qualified, of which Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Chongqing, Guangdong, Shanghai, Guangxi, Jiangxi, Anhui, Fujian, Guizhou's 10 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) were excellent.

The reporter learned from the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Water Resources that at present Zhejiang aims to build a "water -saving benchmarking province in Fengshui District in the South", vigorously promote water -saving operations, and implement the most stringent water resources management. In 2021, the total water consumption in the province was 1.664 billion cubic meters; the amount of domestic GDP water and 10,000 yuan of industrial value -added water consumption was 22.6 cubic meters and 13.3 cubic meters, which were 6.4%and 10.0%from the previous year. The leading level of the country; the water quality of important rivers and lakes and water function areas reached 98.0%, and all assessment indicators exceeded the national control goals.
