China Securities Association Report: Nearly a hundred securities firms adjust the organizational structure, brokerage and investment banks are the focus of adjustment

In the context of promoting business integration and layout of innovation business, brokers have made organizational adjustments.

Throughout 2021, 97 securities companies conducted organizational adjustments (referring to first -level departments), accounting for 87.39%. Brokerage business and investment banking business are key lines. Among the above 90 brokerage companies, about 40 % of the securities brokerage business and investment banking business lines.

The "China Securities Industry Development Report (2022)" (hereinafter referred to as "Report") released by the China Securities Industry Association on September 23 revealed the results. At the same time, the report also analyzed statistical analysis of the establishment of the establishment of the headquarters and branch organizations of the securities company and the organization of the branch of the securities company.

On the whole, in terms of organizational structure adjustment content, 58.76%of securities companies in 2021 integrate the existing departments; 43.3%of securities companies split the existing departments; 64.95%of securities companies set new business or functions for new business or functions. First -level departments; 11.34%of securities companies set up some businesses as branches or subsidiaries.

In terms of adjustment lines, in 2021, the organizational structure of the securities company was mainly based on securities brokerage, investment banks, and self -operated investment business lines.

Specifically on the various lines, 44.33%of the 97 securities firms mentioned above have adjusted the securities brokerage business line, mainly including optimizing the responsibilities of relevant departments, strengthening investment advisory and product team building, etc., and further promoting the transformation of wealth management; 40.21 %Has adjusted the investment bank business line, mainly including adding investment banking business departments and layout of small and medium -sized enterprises' financing business.

At the same time, 26.8%of the self -operated investment business lines were adjusted, mainly including splitting or new related business departments, optimizing department responsibilities, etc.; The business bar and the Internet finance have been adjusted, and each of which has adjusted the fields of research business lines and compliance wind control.

From the perspective of the setting of investment banking business organizations, in 2021, in the business organization structure of the investment banking of the securities company, the proportion of "shares, bonds, and new three boards" accounted for 36.79%

It is worth mentioning that the institutional business is also one of the key business of the brokerage firms. More than 90 % of the brokers conduct the service in the form of a first -level department.

Data show that 90.83%of securities companies in 2021 carried out research services in the form of company -level departments. For the positioning of the institute, 45.28%of securities companies position them as comprehensive research institutions, 32.08%of securities companies position them as seller research institutions, 15.09%of securities companies position them as buyers' research institutions, and most of the other securities companies It is said that the research institute is positioned as an internal service agency, and another securities company has not carried out the business.

In addition, in terms of the number of securities company branches and business departments, according to the report, as of the end of 2021, 93.58%of securities companies set up branches with a total number of 1905 branches, of which 121 were newly established and 24 were canceled in 2021. During the period, 94.18%of the securities companies established a business department, with a total number of securities company business departments of 9,880, of which 171 were newly established and 208 were canceled.
