At the distance spanning 8,500 kilometers, Zhang Weiqing obeyed the country's call and accepted difficult tasks, and resolutely moved towards this new field.

100 kilometers of ice days can't stop the Heat heart

Zhang Weiqing, who had just returned to China, was too late to rest, so he pierced into the project.

Thanks to the detailed planning of the team, the progress of the initial preparation stage of Dalian related light sources is smooth. Everything is ready, where should the "wind" be scraped? Where the equipment "landing" has become a problem that the team needs to solve.

After communication and coordination, the relevant light source of Dalian chose to settle in Changxing Island, Wafangdian, Dalian, a small island 100 kilometers from Dalian.

Before the construction of related light sources in Dalian, the team needs to conduct field surveys to understand the terrain conditions, and consolidate the foundation for subsequent research. In the winter of 2014, the construction of Changxing Island Park has just begun, and there is a lack of various supporting facilities. The inconvenient meal and accommodation conditions, no heating, hydropower facilities have no complete problems ... each of them follows, and test the psychological quality of the team personnel with the cold winter.

"But the project doesn't wait for anyone, we want to" grab "to install the equipment, save time to prepare later." Zhang Weiqing said.

In less than two years, Zhang Weiqing and the research team (the joint team of Dalian Chemical Institute and the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) overcame the various unfavorable conditions on the scene, experienced the fighting day and night, and gave up a lot of rest.
