The reporter learned from Qingshan Lake Customs from Nanchang Customs on September 17 that in the first eight months of this year, Nanchang, Jiangxi, import and exporting to countries along the “Belt and Road” was 26.76 billion yuan, an increase of 77.7%, accounting for 29.7%of the total foreign trade value of Nanchang.

It is understood that in the first eight months of this year, Nanchang imported and exported 90.19 billion yuan, of which 65.82 billion yuan was exported, and imports were 24.37 billion yuan. A single month exports achieved double -digit growth for 5 consecutive months. Exports in August 9.56 billion yuan, an increase of 27.1%. In the first eight months, Nanchang's foreign trade imports and exports continued to maintain the first in Jiangxi Province.

ASEAN, the United States, and South Korea are the top three trading partners in Nanchang. Data show that in the first eight months, Jiangxi Nanchang imported and exported 17.94 billion yuan, 14.19 billion yuan, and 8.61 billion yuan to ASEAN, the United States and South Korea, respectively, an increase of 111.1%, 35.7%, and 16.5%, respectively. During the same period, Nanchang, Jiangxi, imported and exported to EU 6.33 billion yuan, an increase of 1.7%.

The import and export of mechanical and electrical products dominate. In the first eight months, Nanchang Mechanical and Electrical Products import and export 37.49 billion yuan, accounting for the leading position of Nanchang's foreign trade. Among them, electronic components exported 5.52 billion yuan, mobile phone exports were 3.23 billion yuan, and cars (including chassis) exported 2.99 billion yuan. In addition, the export of labor -intensive products increased significantly, and textiles and clothing exports were 11.82 billion yuan, an increase of 57.9%; the exports of shoe and boots were 1.51 billion yuan, an increase of 55%.

Private enterprises ranks first in Nanchang's foreign trade operations. In the first eight months, Nanchang's private enterprises imported and exported 73.81 billion yuan, ranking first in foreign trade operations. During the same period, foreign -invested enterprises' import and exports imports and exports were 14.17 billion yuan, an increase of 27.1%.
