Japanese media: China is building such a mechanism

According to Japan's "Daily News" reported on September 7, China will cut the previously increased natural gas imports this year. Affected by the international situation, the importance of energy security is highlighted, and China will increase domestic energy output. China is building an incomplete dependence on any of the current main suppliers -the United States, Australia or Russia.

It is reported that the "China Natural Gas Development Report (2022)" released by the National Energy Administration and other institutions in August shows that China's natural gas imports in 2021 were 168 billion cubic meters, an increase of 19.9%over the previous year; and natural gas imports in the first half of this year this year; the import of natural gas in the first half of this year was imported by natural gas imports this year. The volume was 74.1 billion cubic meters, a year -on -year decrease of 8.9%.

It is reported that on the other hand, the report predicts that China's natural gas output this year is about 220 billion cubic meters, an increase of more than 10 billion cubic meters over 2021. Natural gas mining in inland areas such as Sichuan will be transported to more coastal areas with pipelines.

According to reports, China became a natural gas importer in 2006, and imports increased year by year. There are more imports from Australia, Turkmenistan, Russia and the United States, accounting for nearly 50 % of domestic consumption.
