The reporter learned from Xining Customs that in the first five months of this year, the total value of our province's import and export was 1.83 billion yuan, an increase of 52.8%over the same period last year, and the growth rate ranked third in the country. In May, the total value of imports and exports in Qinghai Province was 550 million yuan, an increase of 2.8 times, ranking first in the country, and the effectiveness of the promotion of foreign trade and stability improvement gradually appeared.

In the first five months, Qinghai Province's foreign trade was still dominated by general trade, with imports and exports of 1.8 billion yuan, an increase of 57.6%, accounting for 98.4%of the total import and export value of Qinghai Province. During the same period, the import and export of logistics goods in the special customs regulatory area was 24.643 million yuan; the import and export of the import and export of bonded supervision venues was 2.251 million yuan.

In terms of main import and export products, labor -intensive products exported 290 million yuan, an increase of 1.2 times; the export of mechanical and electrical products was 180 million yuan, an increase of 3.8 times; the export of silicon iron was 97.558 million yuan, an increase of 67.7%; The increase of 7.7 times; the export of lithium iron phosphate was 30.306 million yuan, an increase of 9.4%; the export of metal lithium was 17.691 million yuan, an increase of 1054.7 times. The imports of metal ore and mineral sand were 750 million yuan, an increase of 59.2%, accounting for 84.3%of the province's total imports; agricultural products imports were 54.705 million yuan, an increase of 1.3 times.

Guinea, South Africa, ASEAN, the European Union, and Japan are the top five trading partners in Qinghai Province. During the same period, the total imports and exports along the "Belt and Road" countries were 560 million yuan, an increase of 1.2 times, accounting for 30.6%of the total value of Qinghai's import and export; 26.8%of the value. Six cities and prefectures have import and export business, and Xining, Haixi Mongolian Tibetan autonomous prefecture, and Haidong City have grown at a high speed of foreign trade. The import and export of Xining City was 1.54 billion yuan, an increase of 53.1%, accounting for 84.2%of the total import and export value of Qinghai Province; the import and export of Haixi was 130 million yuan, an increase of 2.4 times; the import and export of Haidong City was 130 million yuan, an increase of 61.5%.

In the first five months, the growth and export growth of foreign trade in Qinghai Province was mainly a place for the country and Qinghai Province to stabilize the economy. The increase in volume and price has promoted the rapid growth of imports; the "Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement" (RCEP) officially took effect to bring new opportunities for foreign trade development.
