Experts interpret August PMI data: The level of manufacturing prosperity has rebounded, and it is expected to continue to rise in September

On August 31, data released by the National Bureau of Statistics of China showed that the manufacturing procurement manager index (PMI) in August was 49.4%, an increase of 0.4 percentage points from the previous month, and the level of manufacturing prosperity rose.

Feng Mohan, a macroeconomic researcher at Beijing Fushengde Consultation, believes that PMI increased by 0.4%from the previous month in August. This number compared to the same period in previous years, it reflects the effect of a series of stable growth policies and the support of foreign trade needs.

The National Bureau of Statistics also announced the non -manufacturing business activity index on the day. The index was 52.6%in August, a decrease of 1.2 percentage points from July, which is still higher than the critical point. Non -manufacturing has maintained a recovery expansion for three consecutive months.Feng Mohan believes that the non -manufacturing business activity index is still influenced by the domestic epidemic, and the degree of recovery is not ideal.On the whole, although the domestic economy has appeared signs and signals in August, as the policy continues, the manufacturing PMI is expected to continue to rise in September.
