Price rising first, then, is a major feature of vegetable market since July. Affected by the strong convection and continuous high temperature weather in many main producing areas, the national dishes in July rebounded on the basis of June. The average price of three consecutive weeks increased by 5.0%, 5.5%, and 3.7%, respectively, and the last week fell 1.3%. In August (as of August 16), the average wholesale price of 28 vegetables monitored by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs fell 0.2%compared with the previous month, down 0.7%from the same period last year. In terms of varieties, the prices of 17 kinds of vegetables rose month -on -month and 11 kinds of declines.

On August 5th, the average weighted price of vegetables in Xinfa Land in Beijing was 2.92 yuan/kg, a decrease of 9.03%from 3.21 yuan/kg on July 29. Zhang Jing said that the current field of vegetables in the country is 105.721 million mu, a year -on -year increase of 3.996 million mu; vegetable output in mid -July was 29.384 million tons, an increase of 1.5.04 million tons year -on -year. In addition, strong convection and heavy rainfall in summer may adversely affect the production of vegetables in local areas, and the price fluctuations in individual varieties in some areas may fluctuate frequently. However, as the price of vegetables in the fourth quarter of last year was highly affected by the autumn flood, it is expected that by the fourth quarter of this year, the price of vegetables will decline year -on -year.
