The crime of help refers to the serious behavior of "knowing that others use information networks to implement crimes, provide Internet access, server hosting, network storage, communication transmission, or provide help with advertising promotion, payment settlement and other circumstances." The "Report" shows that from 2017 to 2021, a total of 72,000 cases of new crimes in the first instance of courts at all levels in the country. Among them, from 2017 to 2019, it has gradually risen, and it has shown a rapid surging trend since 2020, an increase of 34 times year -on -year. In 2021, the case increased by more than 17 times year -on -year. The number of crimes concluded by courts at all levels across the country accounted for 11.88%of the number of cases involving information network crimes.

The reporter learned that in the past five years, the crime of help in the country involved a total of 143,700 defendants. Among them, the number of defendants in the post -80s and post -90s accounted for nearly 90 %. Among the defendants, the population aged 18 to 28 accounted for 55.09%.

In the crime of help, personal bank cards, public accounts, and third -party payment platform accounts such as settlement cards, WeChat, and Alipay to criminals are common criminal acts. The "Report" shows that from the perspective of the distribution of crimes, the proportion of help categories in payment settlement is 53.45%; the proportion of communication support categories is 18.25%; the proportion of advertising promotion support categories is 4.95% Essence
