Chen Chengjin said that bird's nest fruit is a new variety, with a long growth cycle and high requirements for planting management technology. It takes 14 months from planting to fruit picking. In 2019, the base began to introduce planting. When the fruit was hung in 2020, the yield per mu was only 1,500 pounds. One year later, as planting technology and management became more mature, it reached 3,000 pounds per mu.

"In the summer, there are many fruits in the market, and the purchase price of bird's nest fruits with good quality is 40 yuan to 50 yuan per catty." Chen Chengjin said that the price of bird's nest fruit in winter is higher, and the purchase price can reach 50 to 60 yuan per catty.

Chen Chengjin introduced that the total output of the base this year is expected to be 250,000 kg to 300,000 kg, and the total output value is expected to reach more than 10 million yuan. Bird's nest fruit is mainly sold to Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou and other places, and is currently in short supply.

Due to the good economic benefits, the little bird's nest fruit has become the "rich fruit" for local villagers. More than 20 nearby villagers have contracted this base. The base provides technical support, and the villagers are responsible for planting management.

In the base, the villager Zhao Feng took a brush, carefully brushed all the thorns on the bird's nest fruit, and then carefully cut the fruit with scissors and put them in the basket.

46 -year -old Zhao Feng is a villager in Sanmei Village, Sanjia Town. Since April last year, he has contracted 27 acres of land at the bird's nest fruit base and has planted management and control with his wife.

Zhao Feng, who once worked at the Dragon Fruit Base, said that the technical difficulty of planting bird's nest fruit and more processes, including cutting buds, pasteing, picking flower tails, bending branches, etc., the picking method is more complicated, but I have learned technology and also learned technology. Hainan Hua Coconut Hot Modern Agricultural Co., Ltd., which belongs to the base, is optimistic about the market prospects of bird's nest fruit, so it is expanded year by year. At present, the planting area of ​​bird's nest fruit has expanded to 600 acres, involving Haikou, Wenchang and Lingshui.
