Ministry of Commerce: In the first half of the year, the total number of imports and exports in my country increased by 21.6% year -on -year

On August 3, the person in charge of the Department of Service and Trade of the Ministry of Commerce introduced the development of service trade in the first half of 2022. In the first half of the year, my country's service trade remained rapidly. The total amount of service imports and exports was 289109 billion yuan (RMB, the same below), an increase of 21.6%year -on -year; of which service exports were 1405.95 billion yuan, an increase of 24.6%; imports were 148.514 billion yuan, an increase of 18.9%. The increase in service exports was greater than the import of 5.7 percentage points, driving the service trade deficit of 34.3%to 79.19 billion yuan. The knowledge -intensive service trade continues to grow steadily. In the first half of the year, the import and export of knowledge -intensive services was 1214.49 billion yuan, an increase of 9.8%. Among them, the export of knowledge -intensive service exports was 682.8 billion yuan, an increase of 13.1%; the fields where exports grew rapidly were telecommunications computers and information services, and other commercial services, with an increase of 16.3%and 13.9%, respectively. Knowledge -intensive service imports were 531.69 billion yuan, an increase of 5.9%; the fields with rapid growth are insurance services, with a growth rate of 82.1%.

The import and export of travel services continued to recover. In the first half of the year, the import and export of travel services in my country was 393.55 billion yuan, an increase of 8.2%, of which exports fell 21.8%, and imports increased by 11.6%. Excluding travel services, in the first half of the year, my country's service imports and exports increased by 24%, of which exports increased by 26.2%and imports increased by 21.5%.
