On the morning of July 27, the sea surface of Ninghai West Dianwan, Ningbo, was so quiet.

Next to the seawall, a white box building that stretches for more than 2 kilometers, north and south, is like "dragons out of water", and the majesty appears.

This is the construction of the Ninghai West Store to Taoyuan, which is under construction. This white "dragon" is the node engineering of the project -Xidianwan Tunnel.

According to reports, this tunnel is also the first submarine tunnel in Ningbo.

National Highway G228 is my country's new planned north -south traffic arteries. From the north to Dandong, Liaoning, and Dongxing in Guangxi in the south, it has connected important cities such as Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Shenzhen and other important coastal cities.

Ninghai West Store to Taoyuan Section is an important part of the national road. The starting point is located at the junction of Ninghai and Fenghua. The ending point is flat with the old Elephant West Line. The "one vertical" part of the "one vertical" of the "one vertical" of the "one vertical" of the "one vertical" of the eight -horizontal and five vertical and three coasts.

The main line of the road is 19.636 kilometers, and Merlin, Tiejiang and Western Stores are set up. Among them, the ending section is about 2.1 kilometers.

The project adopts two -way 6 lanes, with a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour. It has 7 super bridges and bridges, and the tunnel is about 3.8 kilometers long.

Among them, the key node engineering -Xidianwan Tunnel, with a total length of 2.25 kilometers. It is built with coffee mortar digging construction technology. Ningbo is responsible for construction.

This is not only the first submarine tunnel project in Ningbo, but also the first time in Zhejiang Province to build a tunnel in the coastal reclamation area in Bin Beach.

This kind of construction method is not simply dug a tunnel on the beach, but first surrounds the construction area with the seawall, dry the seawater, build the tunnel, and then restore the original appearance of the beach to form a tunnel.

We know that the land resources relying on the sea are very precious. By constructing the tunnel, it can save a large amount of land. The environmental impact on the surrounding areas after opening to traffic has also minimized.

As of now, the Highway Project from Ninghai West Store to Taoyuan Section has completed nearly 80%of the annual investment plan, and the overall progress of the project is close to 80%. Among them, the cumulative completion of the Xidianwan Tunnel exceeded 50%.

The entire project is planned to be opened to traffic at the end of September 2024.
