The Sun Yefang Economic Science Award is an economics award approved by the central government and enjoys a reputation in my country's economics community. The award award aims to inherit and carry forward the academic spirit of the older generation of economists represented by Sun Yefang, to protect the truth of the truth, to be the academic position of the country and the people, and the dedication of the people, and continue to explore and innovate academic character. , Help the development and improvement of Chinese economics research. The target of the award was an economic theory worker and actual worker from 1979 to the end of December 2021, published a papers and published monographs published at home and abroad. The scope of the selection includes: the research results of major theoretical and practical issues of economics, based on academic frontier, distinctive innovation characteristics, and use standardized analysis methods, special encouragement can effectively explain the research results of China's reform and opening up and modernization of great practices and unique experience.

The 20th Evaluation Committee of the Sun Yefang Economic Science Award is composed of 32 economists hired by the Council of Sun Yefang Economic Science Foundation. The procedure for the awarding work is: By the end of November 2022, the Sun Yefang Foundation will invite 21 units including Peking University School of Economics and other units. The primaries will be concentrated in the spring of 2023, and will propose the proposal list of the selected works in a manner without a record. In the summer of 2023, members of the award committee will evaluate the award -winning works in a manner without a name. After that, the award list will be announced on the website of the Sun Yefang Foundation for a month. If there is no objection, it will be reported to the Council of the Sun Yefang Foundation for approval.

The bonus standard for the 20th Sun Yefang Economic Science Award is: 300,000 yuan per book award, and a thesis award of 150,000 yuan per article. The Sun Yefang Foundation will issue bonuses, certificates and medals to the winners in the fall of 2023.
